Year 02: First Train Set!

Amongst the presents deng yun received for his birthday, there was a train set, and we washed and let him play with it. check out the amazed and intrigued look on his face:

Year 02: "Evil-Machine"

right after his 2nd birthday, deng yun was having difficulty in breathing and ting yee insisted we used some "evil-machine" to cure him. poor toddler! check out the "evil-machine":

Year 02: 2 years old!

after another round of celebration with my family (my dad, mum, brother and sister-in-law, grandma, two aunties, and of course the three of us) yesterday, we had the actual day 2nd year birthday celebration for deng yun at our new place.

we had catered food and invited most of the people we know at this current point in time, along with their offsprings to celebrate deng yun's birthday.

Year 01: Birthday celebration at the childcare

today, both ting yee and i took the afternoon off from work to celebrate deng yun's birthday in advance at his childcare centre. and this was the first time we let him eat cake. this was what the cake looked like before all the kids and teachers devoured it:

Year 01: Packing the place to move to our new place

because we were going to move to our new place two days from now, we stayed up late to pack our junk. and deng yun helped us to move boxes! check it out:

Year 01: Deng Yun had fever!

ting yee stayed home to look after deng yun, and eventually brought him to KKH where his temperature peaked at 39.8 degrees! but after medication, it fell to about 37 degrees.

Year 01: Visit to Zoo Again!

despite our last zoo trip, i went to the zoo to play with deng yun and ting yee at the kidz world at the zoo. all of us were wet! check out the ting yee and deng yun going down the slide:

then we headed on to Ikea to buy more things for our new place.

then we had dinner with ting yee's relatives.

Year 01: Tunnel Fun!

we bought a "tunnel" from Ikea yesterday and decided to let deng yun play with it today. check out the delight in toddler avatar's eyes:

Year 01: Excursion to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

deng yun and i joined his childcare's friends and their parents and teachers to go on an excursion to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at Singapore Botanical Gardens.

deng yun had started saying "please", of course when we told him to do so.

with that, he would sometimes demand something which we did not like but he would say "please" and it was so cute that how can we refuse??

we celebrated ting yee's birthday today, even though her actual birthday is tomorrow. first, we dressed up deng yun smartly:


then we went to Traders Hotel to have a buffet dinner. and deng yun got to eat his first buffet for free:

Year 01: Deng Yun got bitten in school!

our little boy got bitten on his right arm by some brat in his childcare. see the teeth mark in this picture:


and deng yun said his first few sentences today: "i wan!", "i dun wan!" and "dun wan!"

deng yun had fever today, but he was still eating and resting alright.

Year 01: Suspected HFMD! ARGH!

our worst fear had come true! deng yun was a suspected HFMD case! we brought him to childcare and they rejected him because he had some red spots on his throat!

so ting yee and i had to take leave on alternate days to look after deng yun for the whole week. however, he was not those kids that showed that he was sick. in fact, he did not even look sick:
