Year 02: Christmas Show at Childcare Centre

i attended the christmas show at deng yun's childcare, where he was supposed to perform. then i interfered by calling out to him and upon seeing me, he cried and walked towards me... sigh, should not have called him...

today was the first time i joined deng yun with his lesson on ABC Kindermusik. he was so happy and active. check out the teacher's pet:

Year 02: Computer Whiz?

deng yun was 2 years and 5 months old today and check out this picture of deng yun using my laptop:


as of yesterday, he was 91 cm tall and 15kg heavy!

Year 02: "Nature" Walk

because ting yee was a little late in bringing deng yun to the centre, she joined him and the rest of the children for a "nature" walk:

Year 02: Sengkang Sports Complex

we went to the Sengkang sports Complex and played at the swimming area there with deng yun. after that, he was so tired in the car:

Year 02: Golf!

after almost one month, i decided to teach deng yun how to play golf.

Year 02: Melbourne Trip - The Summary

we had a short holiday in Melbourne for 5 days and 5 nights to celebrate my birthday in advance:

3rd Nov 2010:
we departed from Singapore to head towards Melbourne. check out the cool boy with the headphones:


4th Nov 2010:
we "checked" into our friends' Stanley, Hanna and their two daughters' house and had dinner at Sophia's, where deng yun was actually sleeping due to the jet jag...

5th Nov 2010:
deng yun woke up and watched some Hi-5:


then while on the roads, deng yun was the one driving! well, sort of:


then we met up with my sister-in-law's family for dinner, where deng yun and ting yee had their picture taken with a tram:


6th Nov 2010:
at night, we had dinner at Tim's mother's restaurant where deng yun learned how to balance a spoon with his mouth:


7th Nov 2010:
we said goodbye to Stanley and family and headed towards Mount Dandenong to take a ride on the Puffing Billy, disguised poorly as one of the unheard of characters in Thomas the Tank Engine:


we also visited the Thomas Shop:


and bought nothing but took some pictures with a cardboard Thomas:


we even got to watch a Thomas show that was definitely made for children:


oh, and by the way, this was the car that took us around Melbourne:


after we left "Thomas' World", we checked into a cottage that was 3 levels tall:


for dinner, we had buffet at the Cuckoo Restaurant:


8th Nov 2010:
well, all good things had to come to and end, but not before we visited our old Alma Mater:
