Year 01: Blisters on Deng Yun's toes!

can you believe it? we discovered deng yun's first two blisters! one of them (right toe) was healing, but the other one was as big as a Singapore five cent coin! apparently, the slippers he was wearing were rubbing on the two "big" toes!

Year 01: First time in a grocery cart

donned in his super-baby customer, we brought deng yun to attend the teacher/parents day at child care, where he was running around playing:


after that, deng yun sat in a grocery cart for the first time where we were shopping for groceries:

Year 01: Another visit to the paediatrician

we visited the paediatrician again today and he advised us to continue giving deng yun the "puff". then we went to baby fair at takashimaya and deng yun made a HUGE fuss and peed all over the place while we were changing him! sigh...

Year 01: Visiting 2 babies

we paid a visit to 2 babies today: ting yee's colleague, Haizan's baby girl, where deng yun was playing with her toy:


and my friend, Darren's baby girl. Darren even gave deng yun a brand new toy (which i only assembled on 16 Sept 2009):

Year 01: Just roaming about at home

it's friday night and what better way to spend it than roaming about at home? that was what deng yun did:

Year 01: Visit to a Paediatrician

because of the constant visits to KK Hospital, ting yee decided to visit a paediatrician to check on deng yun's health and it turned out he had asthma. so, we have started him on the asthma puff! 4 puffs in the morning and 4 puffs at night... poor baby!

in the afternoon, we had the all-you-can-eat dessert buffet (yuk!) at Swenson's. and deng yun got himself a balloon hat:

also, we went to Kiddy Palace and bought deng yun his first Mega Bloks set!


then at night, we went to our friend's daughter's 1st month. deng yun was running around the place!

Year 01: Walking and running back home!

Year 01: KK Hospital again?!?!?!

sigh... we went to KK hospital again at 2.30am in the morning because deng yun was having fever. doctor gave him some medicine and we went back home at 4.30am and went to sleep at 5am. but at 7am, deng yun was very cranky and woke up ting yee and i. ting yee fed him medicine, while i changed his diaper. and we went back to sleep at 7.45am. in the afternoon, deng yun was alright, but he still refused to sleep.

after a trip to parkway parade, deng yun was getting better (no fever, minimum cough and running nose) and all set to be back to child care tomorrow.

Year 01: National Day walk in the "park" with Deng Yun's new sunglasses!

yes, we went to the Istana today, hoping to enjoy the park there. instead, it was closed and we had to make do with the "park" opposite the Istana. in case you are not aware, the Istana is where the President of Singapore lives, similar to the White House.

Year 01: Attended my ex-colleauge's wedding

we brought deng yun to attend my ex-colleague's wedding today. check out his excitement before the wedding dinner:

Year 01: More words recognition!

throughout the week, deng yun knew how to react to words like: arms up, arms down, ball, clap, scream, stomp your feet and wave!

whenever we said any of these words, he would do them accordingly! "Your Baby Can Talk" DVD really DO pay off!!

Year 01: Playing on the new table and chairs

deng yun had to stay at home from today onwards because he was sick again! we went to KK Hospital with him yet again in the morning. then both of us stayed at home to look after him.

at night, deng yun was playing on his new table and chairs with his other toy and a duck for a new friend!

Year 01: New set of table and chairs!

we bought a new set of tables and chairs for deng yun on 30 Jul 09, and we set them up today. check out who has a monkey for a new friend!

Year 01: Journey back home all by himself!

Year 01: Happy Happy Deng Yun!

after coming home from my mother's place, ting yee was playing with deng yun at his cot. and this was what happened:

also, for the whole of this week, deng yun was able to say the words "ball", "car", "dad-dy", "pa-pa" and the famous "bye-bye" (said whenever someone waves bye-bye to him)! more words to come!

when i went to the centre to pick deng yun up, he ran towards me and shouted "Dad-dy"! i was so so happy!

Year 01: Back to school!

deng yun went back to the infant care centre and all his friends welcomed him back:

Year 01: 1 year and 1 month old!

although i did mention that i will not keep track of the 20th every month, it was rather special today. because today was the first time i made porridge for deng yun! and i think he liked it too. hahaha!

Year 01: Family Outing!

in the morning, we played ball with deng yun before heading out:

in the afternoon, we went to my ex-colleague's food stall to eat bakmie, the authentic indonesian noodles @ IMM Building. check out their website here: http://www.makanbakmie.blogspot.com deng yun got to walk with ting yee in the shopping mall, while i chatted with my ex-colleague.

then we headed to East Coast Park to attend ting yee's best friend's daughter's 1st birthday party! we joked that in the future, both of our kids will become classmates, if not schoolmates, because both ting yee and her best friend were from Nanyang Primary School.
