Year 01: Highlights of the week towards the end of the month!

towards the end of the month, deng yun was able to say "a story a day" (the story book i had been reading him almost everyday), "home" and "see you" in his own cute way! actually, he could say almost anything you say to him now!

Year 01: Highlights of the week!

throughout this week, deng yun was able to say 1 to 20, as well as monday to sunday! and today, after his stylist outing in the afternoon:


deng yun burped and hiccup together for 3 times after he had his shower!

Year 01: Deng Yun's first over-head bridge walk!

we decided to guide deng yun up the over-head bridge, carefully. look how he ran once he reached the top!

because both deng yun and i were getting bored with the old toys, i decided to let him rip open the christmas presents which we had not opened:


then, i let him play with more of those mega bloks, that he was building, and subsequently toppling:

Year 01: Outing with Deng Yun's friend

we went out with ting yee's best friend's family, where deng yun met up again with her daughter. they were both sitting opposite each other, and they were making funny faces and laughing together!

after dinner, both of them took a walk around the shopping complex:

Year 01: Deng Yun's new diet!

from the beginning of this year, we had been feeding deng yun a so-called balance diet with one serving of carbohydrates, one serving of meat, one serving of soya related food and two servings of veggies:


whatever they are, deng yun will eat them all up!

Year 01: Japanese Restaurant outing!

we went out for shopping and dinner at a japanese steamboat restaurant with ting yee's sister, and check out deng yun's first picture with a "cut-out-face-picture-thingy":

after our friend daryl dropped off some durians for us, ting yee fed deng yun a piece! check it out the initial reaction to it:

Year 01: A visit to grand-auntie's place

it was the beginning of the year and we spent the afternoon at my auntie's place, along with my mother. check out deng yun playing in the utility room:

Year 01: New Year's Eve

we went to meet up with my mother for a small new year's eve celebration: at a RC karaoke session! there, deng yun was running around, "befriending" all the aunties and uncles who were either singing:

Year 01: Enhanced Vocabulary

it has been going on for more than a month already, but i have not recorded it down. so for today, here's deng yun with his identification of the different parts of the human body (mainly the face):

Year 01: 2nd swimming experience in the pool

we brought deng yun to swim again, but it was in the evening. so the pictures we took did not come out as expected. anyway, after the swim, while we were having dinner, deng yun was hugging a mini version of Elmo:

Year 01: Deng Yun's 2nd Christmas!

on this day, we went to Plaza Singapore, where deng yun was put on the monkey leash (poor thing!) and made to push his own stroller (child abuse!):

Year 01: A visit to NUH for the 18 months injection

ting yee brought deng yun to NUH for his 18 month injection. he cried a bit while the needle was inserted into him. then, ting yee met up with her ex-colleagues.

Year 01: 1 year and 6 months old!

18 months already! how time just happened to fly by! but today was like any other day. from playing with his toys:

Year 01: Outing to Bottle Tree Park

because of ting yee's company function, we visited the bottle tree park, where the trees there are shaped like a bottle:
