Year 02: Xuan in the box and talking a lot?

no, nothing bad happened, but today, deng yun was taking out all the toys from his mickey mouse box, and he slipped in it to play!


and before going to bed, deng yun was saying the names of almost everyone he knew: from his schoolmates to his teachers to his relatives!

Year 02: Ting Yee's ex-colleague's daughter's 1st birthday!

it was only a little more than a year ago that deng yun had his 1st birthday. today, it was baby adena's turn! she is the daughter of ting yee's ex-colleague. we went to pasir ris chalet to celebrate this joyous occasion.

and deng yun had the opportunity to don his swimming suit (along with a pair of mickey mouse ears):


and headed for a fun time with ting yee at the swimming pool:

Year 02: Playground at our HDB estate

deng yun played in the playground at our HDB estate this evening. check out the "ups" and "downs", starting with climbing up the ladder:

Year 02: MESS!

deng yun made a mess in his room, throwing all the "Clifford" books on the floor!


3 days later, when i picked up deng yun, he asked me: "where's THE mummy?"

Year 02: Polliwogs Again and Again...

we loved polliwogs so much that we went there again! this was before we got ready to go:

Year 02: First independent bed for Deng Yun

we decided to finally fix up deng yun's bed after having it in storage for a month!


however, he will still be sleeping in his cot until further notice from ting yee.

at night, we celebrated my mother's birthday in advance.

Year 02: First Train Set!

Amongst the presents deng yun received for his birthday, there was a train set, and we washed and let him play with it. check out the amazed and intrigued look on his face:

Year 02: "Evil-Machine"

right after his 2nd birthday, deng yun was having difficulty in breathing and ting yee insisted we used some "evil-machine" to cure him. poor toddler! check out the "evil-machine":

Year 02: 2 years old!

after another round of celebration with my family (my dad, mum, brother and sister-in-law, grandma, two aunties, and of course the three of us) yesterday, we had the actual day 2nd year birthday celebration for deng yun at our new place.

we had catered food and invited most of the people we know at this current point in time, along with their offsprings to celebrate deng yun's birthday.

Year 01: Birthday celebration at the childcare

today, both ting yee and i took the afternoon off from work to celebrate deng yun's birthday in advance at his childcare centre. and this was the first time we let him eat cake. this was what the cake looked like before all the kids and teachers devoured it:

Year 01: Packing the place to move to our new place

because we were going to move to our new place two days from now, we stayed up late to pack our junk. and deng yun helped us to move boxes! check it out:

Year 01: Deng Yun had fever!

ting yee stayed home to look after deng yun, and eventually brought him to KKH where his temperature peaked at 39.8 degrees! but after medication, it fell to about 37 degrees.

Year 01: Visit to Zoo Again!

despite our last zoo trip, i went to the zoo to play with deng yun and ting yee at the kidz world at the zoo. all of us were wet! check out the ting yee and deng yun going down the slide:

Year 01: Excursion to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden

deng yun and i joined his childcare's friends and their parents and teachers to go on an excursion to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden at Singapore Botanical Gardens.
