Pregnancy Week 38: Breast-Feeding Support Group

ting yee took half day off today to visit the breast-feeding support group. she was introduced to many different types of breast-pumping equipment and accessories. the lady recommended dual pumps for working mothers as it saves times although more expensive (the most expensive one was more than $700). very useful information and no pressure to buy as it was not the agent for the pumps.

then she met up with her best friend, who is also pregnant, for late lunch and dessert!

i am still amazed that two best friends, with no prior arrangements, got pregnant during the same period, though our son will be one month older than their daughter.

Pregnancy Week 37: Confinement Lady Confirmed

we have confirmed our confinement lady today. she will be taking care of ting yee and baby primarily, and house work secondarily.

besides that, nothing much for today, except for the whole of week 37, baby has been moving a lot... so much so that we can feel his little elbows, feet, hands and butt!

Pregnancy Week 37: 10th gynae appointment

our gynae told ting yee today that our baby is fine and fine, and that meant ting yee can give birth any time next week! scary!

also, we have decided to sign up with Stemcord, the company that will be processing and storing our baby's Cord Blood, just in case anything happens to our baby next time.

and we are finally meeting up with the confinement lady this saturday. $2,500 per month! well, at least she is a Singaporean, which means we can track her down if anything (touch super wood) happens during confinement.

Pregnancy Week 35: 2nd Cinema experience for our baby!

2nd movie experience for our baby! and it was the awesome Iron Man movie!

however, ting yee was not comfortable with baby moving inside her most of the time during the movie. also, i felt that it was a bit too loud for our baby.

so, this should be the last movie outing before ting yee gives birth next month.

Pregnancy Week 34: Preparing for baby's stuff

today was just a lazy day, but still, baby's stuff needed to be cleaned and ready. we washed all the baby's clothes, towels, bedsheets, etc... , as well as the drawers to contain these items in.

well, basically that was it.

Pregnancy Week 34: Planning for baby's one month

it was literally a sweet day for us. we went to Tampines to try out the cupcakes to give out for our relatives and friends for baby's one month. the cupcake owner gave us 4 cupcakes, and they were all excellent. however, we couldn't finish all 4 of them and had to bring them back (which were eventually devoured by ting yee.. hehe..)

then we went to Ikea to buy the teething plastic thing to put with the cot, and over to my mother's place to pick up yet two more books for baby's Chinese name which my father bought in Hong Kong. after that, we found out that ting yee eventually had swollen feet!
