Year 01: Trial run - dining with the parents

today was the trial run for deng yun sitting with us at the dining table for lunch:

then at night, we had a massive gathering with our uni friends and their offsprings, where deng yun was attempting to order something from the menu:

we went to parkway parade in the evening to buy some cooking equipment for deng yun. we walked around the shopping mall, where he sat in one of those trolley-car for fun:


and then while waiting for the taxi, deng yun was engaged in a "wrapping-paper" duel with me:

Year 01: Eating on his own part 2

yep! the mess had arrived! deng yun was playing with his porridge during dinner, and thus began the saga of the feeding mess!

Year 01: Family Photos Finally Done!

after nearly two months, our family photos were ready for collection today. check them out, starting with the three of us:

Year 01: MacRitchie Reservoir Park

deng yun was combing his own hair:


before we set out on a family outing today to MacRitchie Reservoir Park. initially, we embarked on a journey to the TreeTop Walk:


however, the path to the TreeTop is actually a nature trail:


which meant there were monkeys running around! and when we did encounter some monkeys along the way, i made a decision to turn around because i was afraid the monkeys might harm us.

so, we ended up walking along the reservoir instead:


and we met up with ting yee's sister for dinner at night. when we were back home, deng yun was actually mimicking our movement (like folding our arms) and words (like saying "cloth").

Year 01: Polliwogs Again?

in the morning, we went to the supermarket and redeemed a pack of pandan bread and when deng yun was holding it, it really matched his green theme for today!


and yes... we went to polliwogs in the evening with my dad, who was visiting for a short period, along with my two aunties. deng yun and my aunties sure had a lot of fun!

Year 01: Birth of Tim's baby daughter!

today was the birth of the daughter of one of my best friend, tim. congratulations tim! her name is sophie!

at the same time, deng yun fell sick. he was coughing and sneezing, complete with running nose. this time, we brought him to another paediatrician at thomson medical. while we were waiting to see the paediatrician, deng yun was making friends with other toddlers there:


and thus began another round of sickness...

we went to Polliwogs today with ting yee's best friend and her daughter. both toddlers had fun!

then at night, we visited ting yee's best friend's home and both toddlers (even though they were very tired) played together again!
