Year 00: First time to museum

ting yee and i fixed up the "rainforest jumperoo" device (which ting yee's sister bought about two weeks ago) for deng yun in the morning. check out his (i think) delight:

then all of us went to the asian civilisations museum to see the Chinese Emperor Kangxi exhibition for the first time.  deng yun's "yun" is the same as one of emperor kangxi's real name.  check out deng yun's first visit to this museum and his new hat:

unfortunately, i caught the cold from deng yun yesterday and was not feeling very well today.  nevertheless, after dinner with ting yee's sister, we shopped at Carrefour and bought more baby stuff.

Year 00: Deng Yun is sick yet, yet again!

deng yun was whizzing this morning and i had to bring him to KK hospital for consultation, yet again.  so i had to stay at home and look after deng yun the whole day because the doctor said not to bring him to infant care for the whole week.

Year 00: The never-ending pee

when i picked deng yun up from the infant care today, i saw him and another older boy, trying to wrestle a toy from each other.  it was not those kind of rough wrestle but more of a friend one.

however, when we reached home, as i was changing his diaper, deng yun accidentally touched the nappy rash cream and as i was wiping it off his fingers, he peed on the new diaper.  

i had to change a new one, at the same time trying to keep deng yun from crying because he was restrained to the changing table.  then he screamed as i was changing the second diaper.  and he peed again.

finally, after sweat, pee and tears (deng yun's, not mine), i mentioned to complete the task just before ting yee came back. such good timing that girl...

Year 00: First time on the "Walk N Ride" toy!

ting yee and i assembled the "walk n ride" toy which deng yun tried out for the first time.  check out the picture with him pushing it:

Year 00: First eye check

in the morning, deng yun was able to feed himself, for a short while after ting yee fed him most of the food:

and today was the first time we used the munchkin mat so as to prevent him from dirtying the floor:

later, we brought deng yun for a eye check and everything was fine! his sight is excellent, for now...

for our outing, he wore this romper that was designed as though he was wearing shirt and shorts:

err... not very "gentleman-ly" huh?  also check out his "vampire" teeth while munching on a biscuit:

towards the evening, we all went over to the "Real Love Works" event @ Marina Barrage, and deng yun and ting yee even got to take a picture with Singapore's celebrity, the Flying Dutchman:

Year 00: 9 months old!

deng yun was 9 months old today! another milestone reached.  he received two T-shirts as presents from a teacher at the infant care centre today.  deng yun did not do much today, except eat and sleep.  in fact, he went to bed shortly after this photo was taken:

Year 00: Another new toy for Deng Yun

yesterday, we all went to the baby fair at takashimaya and ting yee bought a new toy for deng yun:

the toy is like multiple toys all-in-one which deng yun was trying to figure out how it works!

Year 00: Standing on mattress

i rearranged the living room area yet again and this time, there was more space.  so we laid the mattress for deng yun to crawl.  he also tried and stood up.  check out the delight in his face:

Year 00: Visit to specialist at KK Hospital

both of us took half day to bring deng yun to KK hospital to see a specialist, to hopefully cure him of his cough and running nose once and for all.  he was prescribed with 5 bottles of cough medicine and 1 bottle of nose medicine to be used for the next 1 month.  at night, check out his smurf hat!

Year 00: Deng Yun emulating us!

deng yun peed on me when i was bringing him back from the infant care.  then at home, deng yun was trying to emulate us: from faking a cough to making funny noises!

Year 00: First time eating mashed spinach

today was the first time ting yee made mashed spinach for deng yun, and tomorrow will be the first time he eats it!  before that can happen, check out his new ABC mat:
