Year 00: Alone with Deng Yun Part 4

Year 00: Third day of CNY

on this third day of chinese new year, ting yee brought deng yun to attend a dinner hosted by her uncle along with many relatives and friends.

Year 00: Second day of CNY

today was the second day of CNY and we brought deng yun to visit more relatives.  then after dinner with my father and auntie, we brought deng yun to meet up with our friends stanley and hanna, along with their two lovely daughters. it was the first time deng yun met sunyi and sunjia!

Year 00: First day of CNY

the first time deng yun celebrated first day of chinese new year! we went to many relatives' places to celebrate chinese new year and deng yun received a lot of ang baos!

Year 00: The night before first day of CNY

we rented a car yesterday so that we could go and visit relatives on the first two days of chinese new year.  also my dad came down to singapore just to celebrate this festival with deng yun!

then at night, during the reunion dinner at my parents' place, with my two aunties, deng yun was making a hugh fuss and crying non-stop.  and i had a headache.  the night ended with everyone having headaches.

Year 00: 7 months old!

today was deng yun's 7th month birthday!

ting yee brought him over to her auntie's place but she will stay at home from wednesday onwards to look after him and work from home.

Year 00: Rashes on stomach and buttocks

this morning, we found out that deng yun had slight rashes on his stomach and buttocks, and his infant care had 5 cases of HFMD.  so, we brought deng yun to KK hospital and was advised to apply cream and stay clear of the infant care.

so both ting yee and i stayed at home and looked after our son.

Year 00: Second time in an aircraft heading back to Singapore

so ends our adventure in australia.  during the flight, deng yun got more things this time: mostly baby food!  my mother then picked us up from the airport and we ended the night carrying 6 lugguages (pram included) from the taxi back to our apartment...

Year 00: Having fun in melbourne!

yeah, deng yun had lots of fun in melbourne, with vivienne's kids, going out an car rides, meeting up with my sister-in-law's parents... too bad we had to head back to singapore the next day.

nevertheless, deng yun was smiling (but more crying) during his stay in melbourne:

Year 00: First church wedding experience

today was deng yun's first experience of a church wedding of uncle tim and his wife, auntie adel.

unfortunately, we didn't get to attend their wedding banquet because i got food poisoning in the afternoon.

so, all dressed up but no where to go, deng yun had to settle for staying at vivienne's place for the night:

Year 00: First time in Australia!

deng yun arrived in melbourne, australia at around 7am.  after immigration, ting yee called up the car rental company and the person there picked us up and drove us to the car rental center where deng yun had his first car seat experience!

we drove to ting yee's friend, vivienne's place and deng yun met up with her kids, kaylan and keisha, for the first time!

then during dinner, deng yun met up with uncle tim and uncle david for the first time at our favourite korean restaurant:

Year 00: First time in an aircraft!

yes! finally, the time had come for deng yun to sit in an aircraft, heading towards australia to attend uncle tim's wedding!

at the boarding gate, we experienced our first "priority" boarding because we brought deng yun with us! hahaha!

during the flight, he was given toys, and his very own bassinet, well, for the duration of the flight of course!

he was not a trouble at all during take off and landing, mainly because ting yee was breast-feeding him on these occasions.

Year 00: First time attend a wedding

today was the first time deng yun attended a wedding dinner, well, post wedding that is.  it was my brother and sister-in-law's post wedding party, and deng yun got to meet a lot of our relatives!

Year 00: Lowering of Deng Yun's cot

we lowered deng yun's cot because he was starting to crawl now and we were afraid he might just crawl out and fall off the cot!

Year 00: Deng Yun is sick... yet again...

this morning, deng yun was coughing so bad that we decided to bring him to KK hospital for consultation.  doctor gave deng yun two days of MC and i opted to look after him today myself at home, and ting yee may look after him tomorrow, depending on how well deng yun will be.

when i was looking after deng yun in the afternoon, i realised that he was starting to crawl! check out the video and see for yourself:

then, my dad came for another visit, mainly to attend my brother's post wedding party this saturday.  all our immediate family members then had a dinner at a nearby coffeeshop.

Year 00: First time meeting with deng yun's only uncle

today was the first time deng yun met my brother and sister-in-law.  they arrived in singapore today after they went on their honeymoon-round-the-world-trip.  my mother brought them over to our place and to have dinner.

Year 00: First "nature" outing on the first day of a new year

in the morning, deng yun and i slept until 12 noon, had lunch with ting yee and continued to sleep until 4pm! ting yee was the only one awake from morning onwards.

then the three of us went to Hort Park and walked all the way from there to Vivocity.  the whole journey took us about one and a half hours.  this was deng yun's first "nature" outing:
