Year 00: First car ride to infant care

today was the first time we sent deng yun to infant care centre in a car! don't worry, we did not buy a car, but we rented one. check out mummy and baby with the car:

Year 00: Elmo Says!

to "celebrate" deng yun's recovery from diarrhoea and coughing, we played a game of "Elmo Says".  it was hilarious! check out the video:

Year 00: 4th haircut!

deng yun had his fourth haircut today! and he was sitting in this toy car while the hairdresser was cutting his hair.  check it out:

Year 00: Coughing and wheezing!?!?!

again, we brought deng yun to KK hospital because this time, our son was coughing and wheezing!  sigh, another happening night at KK hospital and more medicine for deng yun!

Year 00: 10 months old!

yes, today was deng yun's 10 months old, and he had his first official case of diarrhoea.  ting yee called me at around 3pm and told me the infant care centre told her that deng yun had diarrhoea.  so i had to pick him up and headed towards KK hospital, our "favourite" place to visit every month.

once there, i had to wait 3 hours just for consultation, which in the end took only 10 minutes!  ting yee joined me before we brought him in to see the doctor.  check out deng yun's waiting mode:

so there you have it.  deng yun's 10th month was spent in the hospital, but not in the wards thankfully!  and he spent it having diarrhoea...

Year 00: Dad-dy!

nappy rash getting better, but the areas were still red.  at night, after drinking his milk on our bed:

deng yun actually crawled towards me and said "dad-dy"! i was so happy!

Year 00: Signs of diarrhoea

after we picked deng yun up from the centre, and the teachers there told us he was crying and crying while they were changing him, we realised that he had a serious case of nappy rash.  the rash was all over the testicles and the sides and anus.

but he seemed to be fine when i brought him over to my mother's place.  however, he began crying again when we were back home.  so we had to let him use the cloth diaper instead of the disposable ones.  and he poo-ed 5 times in total today.

we are currently observing him to see if there is a serious need to bring him to see a doctor.

Year 00: Humpty Dumpty Deng Yun

at the infant care centre which i picked up deng yun, the teacher there pointed to me photos of deng yun on the walls, showing him playing alone:

and they told me deng yun made something for easter:

at home, deng yun nearly fell head on the floor from the sofa but i grabbed his hands and feet at the last second!  it was my fault that he nearly fell as i was letting him play on the sofa.

again, he slept early before ting yee came back from work.

Year 00: "Upgraded" Deng Yun

when i went to pick deng yun from the infant care centre, he was "upgraded" to another area of the centre; the older babies section.  there, he was sitting on the floor, picking and throwing blocks.  when i called out to him, he smiled and crawled towards me.

then at home, while playing on the bed with him, he was attempting to stand up on his own, but always fell on his butt.  he slept early today, before ting yee came back from work.

Year 00: Deng Yun entertaining with his jumperoo

today was the second time (the first time was on 23 Mar 09) my friend, terrence came over to see deng yun play with the rainforest jumperoo.  his girlfriend came over in the evening and saw deng yun for the first time.

deng yun was entertaining them with his jumperoo all the while!
