Year 01: Say what?

after having dinner with my parents and right after they left, deng yun became mumbling his toddler talk for the first time in front of us:


this "phenomenon" will occur for the next 2 days (1 Oct and 2 Oct), always at around 10pm!

Year 01: Hippo Ride!

we brought deng yun for the hippo ride around chinatown, little india, and kampong glam, and ended the event with a change of diapers at OG (which i accidentally forgot to take our changing mat!)


then on the bus back home, deng yun was holding on the the handrails and hanging on like a little monkey!


deng yun can now recognise numbers like "2", "3" and "4" by pointing and pronouncing the numbers.

Year 01: Mummy and Daddy's 12th year anniversary!

on our 12th year anniversary, we went to the restaurant called "vines" for dinner and deng yun tagged along. yes, he was the "light-bulb" this evening! back home, we had cake too!


also, today was the first time deng yun tried on his very first car-seat!

Year 01: More injections and family photo taking!

after lunch, we went for our family photo taking near NUH. if you want to see those pictures, you will have to wait for a month for us to pick them up when they are ready for collection (oh, the wonders of technology!)

then after that, we brought deng yun to NUH for his chicken pox and MRI injections. he only cried during the injection and had no fever after that (makes you wonder if these injections are really taking effect, but i'm not complaining!)

deng yun can slowly recognise certain alphabets like "a" and "g" by pointing to them and pronouncing the letter!

Year 01: 1 year and 3 months old!

on this day, we went to istana for a picnic in the park! check out the pictures taken while we were there, starting from deng yun pulling a pangolin's tail?

at night, we went to daryl's place for a visit, but unfortunately, his son was asleep, so deng yun played with us instead.

deng yun understands the word "yes" by nodding his head and "no" by shaking his head.

Year 01: Assembled Little HandiWorker Workhorse

yes, nearly a month after receiving the Little HandiWorker Workhorse from darren, i finally assembled it today. and already, a few nails had been misplaced, and toys were mixed up!

Year 01: Heat rash on Deng Yun!

sigh... deng yun had heat rash all over his body. it could be because he was out in the sun for too long during our cycling trip. whatever the reason, it was not severe. deng yun even showed off his "sexy" baby body! (yeah, because we needed to change him)

Year 01: Polliwogs Fun!

we went to polliwogs at east coast park for an evening of fun! it was ting yee's sister's idea, but she came after we started playing.

polliwogs (www.thepolliwogs.com) is a playground that accommodates kids and adults too! so we can all play together! check out the picture showing the "sea of balls":

Year 01: Cycling at Tampines SunPlaza Park

in the morning, ting yee taught deng yun to drink from a normal cup which he played with after that:


in the afternoon, we went to Sun Plaza Park at Tampines to cycle with deng yun for the first time. check out the picture when he was getting ready (don't worry, he was not riding alone, he was only posing):

and we concluded the evening having dinner with my mother and going shopping at Tampines.

Year 01: Visit from Deng Yun's friend

my friend daryl and his family came by to give us a piece of his son's birthday cake. both of the toddlers were having fun:

anyway, as of today, deng yun had 13 teeth (8 on top and 5 at the bottom), and the word "star" (pronounced "thar") was added to deng yun's vocabulary.

because there were two kids from the childcare who were celebrating their birthdays today, deng yun received several little toys from their parents, and he had fun playing the toys with us:

yes, deng yun's blister that was the size of a five cent coin was burst by ting yee today. it was done after deng yun played with his mega bloks toy:
