Year 01: Fidgets Not-So-Fun

after deng yun woke up from his afternoon nap, we went to play at Fidgets in Turf City for the first time. it costs $8.00 for all of us to play at Fidgets, but it was not as fun as Polliwogs because some areas were not easily accessible by the adults (it meant i was too fat to access some areas).

anyway, deng yun did have fun "punching" the punching bag:


riding a 4X4 flintstone style:


sliding down a slide all by himself:


sliding down a so-called pyramid:


being in a "space capsule" with mummy:


"swimming" in the pool of plastic balls:


and being pushed by some kid while riding on the 4X4 backwards:


then at home, deng yun poo-ed while ting yee was bathing him!

and it was the first time he wore Elmo pyjamas:


after i read deng yun a story and some of his learning books, ting yee brushed his teeth and pat him to bed.

Year 01: A rainy visit to Deng Yun's friend's place!

we visited daryl and his family on a rainy evening and had dinner with them. once there, both deng yun and daryl's son, xuan yu started playing with each other, beginning with xuan yu pushing deng yun on Thomas the train:


then playing with some gadgets attached to xuan yu's cot:


and during our dinner, both of them were safely "locked" inside the "arena":


and after xuan yu's bath, both fighting over the xuan yu's Bumbo seat:

Year 01: Two days of "blocks"

last night, we started letting deng yun play with blocks. he was playing with the blocks with numbers:


and tonight, he was playing with the blocks with alphabets:


and recently, he was able to recognise most alphabets and numbers, even pronouncing them!

Year 01: Cycling @ East Coast Park

second time we went cycling, but we did it at East Coast Park this time. we were actually very tired from cycling as you can see from this picture of mummy and deng yun:

after bathing deng yun at home, all of us went straight to bed.

Year 01: Vehicles @ United Square

after dinner, we went to United Square to window shop. while we were there, deng yun "test-drove" some vehicles, starting with a convertible:

Year 01: Spin the Bottle!

before going to dreamland, deng yun was playing "spin the bottle" with me:


never knew spinning the bottle would have this kind of effect on deng yun!

Year 01: Double First Times!

we travelled to Tampines today on a family outing. while we were there, deng yun tried on a pair of glasses (no degree) for the first time:


and carried his monkey bag for the first time around a shopping centre:


even though the monkey bag also acted as a leash, i didn't want to use the leash on him.

Year 01: First time in a MacLaren stroller

well, ting yee bought a MacLaren baby stroller (buggy to be exact, but i like to use stroller) 5 days ago, but deng yun used it for the first time today:


we went to novena square to have a late breakfast, immediately followed by an early lunch at the japanese restaurant at IRAS building (the same one we went to 6 days ago). deng yun felt rather comfortable in his new stroller.

at night, we were playing catching!

Year 01: Second time in a grocery cart

deng yun sat in a grocery cart for the second time, wearing a jacket because we were afraid he would feel cold:

Year 01: Sentosa trip

before going out, deng yun was at home getting ready:


then we went out with daryl's family for a Sentosa trip:


and had dinner at a japanese sushi restaurant, where both deng yun and xuan yu (daryl's son) received a balloon each (mainly to keep them quiet):

Year 01: A trip to Changi Airport Terminal 3

we decided to take a trip to Changi Airport Terminal 3 to walk, play and eat there. and deng yun was at one point pushing his own stroller:


then we had dinner at popeye's and ended our trip.

Year 01: The end of the first toothpaste

today marked the end of deng yun's first toothpaste:

Year 01: Art and Craft

deng yun was engaged in some arts and craft today! actually, it just meant he was doing some doodling with his non-toxic crayons and tearing up some sheets of paper:

Year 01: Getting in and out of his Bumbo seat

Year 01: 6th haircut!

today was the 6th time deng yun had his haircut, but we forgot to take a picture of him! check out the next post for his new haircut!

Year 01: Polliwogs Fun Part 2!

we went to visit ting yee's ex-colleague (Haizan) home, to attend her daughter's first month celebration. deng yun was sleeping the whole time!

then we went to Polliwogs again, but this time with my parents. all of us had fun there, and i believe deng yun had the most fun, crawling in the tunnels:


playing in the pool of plastic balls:

Year 01: 2nd Children's Day!

deng yun celebrated his second children's day at the child care centre. he also received presents:
