Year 01: New Year's Eve

we went to meet up with my mother for a small new year's eve celebration: at a RC karaoke session! there, deng yun was running around, "befriending" all the aunties and uncles who were either singing:

Year 01: Enhanced Vocabulary

it has been going on for more than a month already, but i have not recorded it down. so for today, here's deng yun with his identification of the different parts of the human body (mainly the face):

Year 01: 2nd swimming experience in the pool

we brought deng yun to swim again, but it was in the evening. so the pictures we took did not come out as expected. anyway, after the swim, while we were having dinner, deng yun was hugging a mini version of Elmo:


and when we returned home, we took a picture of deng yun (wearing reindeer "horns") with the several presents he received for christmas:

Year 01: Deng Yun's 2nd Christmas!

on this day, we went to Plaza Singapore, where deng yun was put on the monkey leash (poor thing!) and made to push his own stroller (child abuse!):

then, we walked along orchard road and took several pictures, like with a christmas tree:

Year 01: A visit to NUH for the 18 months injection

ting yee brought deng yun to NUH for his 18 month injection. he cried a bit while the needle was inserted into him. then, ting yee met up with her ex-colleagues.

Year 01: 1 year and 6 months old!

18 months already! how time just happened to fly by! but today was like any other day. from playing with his toys:

to finally changing his clothes for bed:

Year 01: Outing to Bottle Tree Park

because of ting yee's company function, we visited the bottle tree park, where the trees there are shaped like a bottle:


after a tour around the place in his cool gear:


then having lunch and throwing some tantrums, deng yun felt asleep:

Year 01: 1st Dentist visit

ting yee brought deng yun to his very first dentist visit, and his 20+ teeth were fine! check out the dentist chair:

Year 01: Swimming, toddler style!

here's what deng yun looked like after prepping him up for swimming:


when we got to the swimming pool inside Roxy Hotel, after preparing all deng yun's swimming "gear", it was closed because of a wedding ceremony! argh!

then we decided to head over to ting yee's auntie's place and let deng yun swim at the condo's swimming pool. check out deng yun and ultraman:


but this lasted only 5 minutes, because it rained after that... sigh...

Year 01: Roxy Hotel Stay

spontaneously, we checked into Roxy Hotel this afternoon, bringing deng yun's swim "gear" along with us. we were hoping we could spend the next morning swimming as a family.

at night, we had dinner at a japanese restaurant and got a free kids meal as part of promotion meal:
