Year 02: Vivocity trip!

we went to Vivocity to explore the wonders there. starting from the "pool" at the top of the complex:


to eating at Marche:

then deng yun got naughty, hit me in the head a couple of times when i pulled him away from a kiddie motorised car he wanted to ride. i brought him to the toilet and spanked him.

then back home, he actually knows how to call our names in mandarin! and his creativity kicked in again, with his own assembly of thomas and friends train tracks, as well as a block he was holding that looked vaguely like a cake:

Year 02: New Wardrobe and Diaper Station assembled

while deng yun was sleeping in a "stylo-milo" way:


i assembled the new diaper station:


no, the diaper station is not for deng yun. he is now too big for it!

yes, the new wardrobe is partly for deng yun, and no, it is not a replacement bed for him.

Year 02: Bye Bye Fishy Fishy!

when i was bathing deng yun, there was a strong smell. not it was not his poo, but rather a bottle, containing a "fish" that deng yun "made" at his childcare centre about half a year ago. yes, it was the smell of the water! i threw it away after i finished bathing deng yun.

Year 02: Plaza Singapura, the Bumblebee Song and Star Wars!

we took a trip to Plaza Singapura to play at the family area:


and watch the movie Hoodwinked Too:


back home, deng yun sang the bumblebee song:

Year 02: Never Ever Disturb My Sleep!

well, today was one of the worst evening of our lives. first, deng yun did not have his afternoon nap. and when he finally slept, it was at the dining table at Vines:


then when we woke him up to bring him back home, he refused, and ate ice-cream. but when we refused to give him more, he cried and cried and turned violet. he started throwing tantrums (and embarrassed me, not ting yee though..), while kicking, sreaming, punching all the way onto the bus until he was pacified by one of the kiddie games on my mobile phone.

Year 02: A trip to Ikea and the Super Duper Hero song!

we went to Ikea today to buy a wardrobe for our 2nd baby and had dinner there. check out deng yun and his "fine" dining ambiance:

Year 02: Bathing Saga!

while bathing deng yun, I was “teaching” some hokkien (non-vulgar) words to him. ting yee overheard the words and immediately came in and slapped me (not those painful ones, but more of a pat on the cheek, but it did make a sound).

I pretended to feel pain, and deng yun immediately shouted “mommy, why you hit daddy?” then said, “sorry daddy” (and patted my cheek gently) and HE started crying! I told him it was alright as mummy was playing with daddy.

then ting yee and i kissed and made up after that and deng yun laughed!

Year 02: East Coast Park Cycling

we went to east coast and i cycled with deng yun while ting yee waited at the bicycle station for her sister to come and have lunch. check out deng yun on the child seat:

i bought a drum set and a board set for deng yun. i only set up the drum set today and deng yun was already "jamming" away:

we had lunch at the korean restaurant near polliwogs with Ken's family, where the two children played at the small playground there:

we went to watch the movie "Hop" at Nex. then in the evening, deng yun rode in his tricycle to NTUC with us!
